Why emergency trainings are important to us...

Preparedness is crucial to MSP's functioning, especially with today's heightened risk environment. We assess, train, and prepare for a variety of risks to ensure MSP's resilience as a critical asset to the State of Minnesota. We have built out several programs that help us prepare in the event of an emergency including the MSP Airport Community Emergency Resource Team (ACERT) and our Airport Watch program.

We define emergency trainings, compared to the several other types of trainings we conduct at our airports, as trainings where we practice the emergency plan including our triannual CrashEx training required for airports, active shooter training, and others where responding to airport emergencies is the focal point.
